The courtroom drama surrounding Sean "Diddy" Combs is heating up — and now, a treasure trove of text messages between the hip-hop mogul and his former flame,
Cassie Ventura, has entered the spotlight.
As Diddy's federal sex trafficking case moves into its second week, over 160 pages of private exchanges between the two have been made public. The messages, some of which are sexually charged, paint a complicated picture of their rollercoaster 11-year relationship — one marked by passion, control, and alleged abuse.
The texts were unsealed as part of the defense’s strategy to challenge Ventura’s claims of abuse. According to The New York Post, Diddy's legal team submitted the messages to suggest that the singer-actress was a willing participant in his infamous “freak-offs” — a term reportedly used to describe wild sexual encounters.
Ventura, however, has painted a starkly different picture in her testimony at Manhattan federal court. She detailed a harrowing history of alleged rape, physical violence, and psychological torment during their on-again, off-again relationship from 2007 to 2018.
While many of the texts reflect everyday check-ins and affectionate exchanges, others delve into graphic territory. In one 2012 thread, Diddy messaged, “S–t. Need you to go to doc,” to which Ventura replied, “Yea. We did a lot… a lot of dic**. A lot of partying.” Another message from Cassie read, “I miss you. I miss that di**. I miss our love sessions in the afternoon.”
But not all was steamy and sweet. Some conversations revealed intense arguments, with Ventura accusing Diddy of sidelining her emotionally. Still, she often reassured him of her loyalty, promising to treat him like “a king no matter what.”
Jurors also reviewed a 2017 message from Ventura, who seemed eager about an upcoming “freak-off,” writing, “I’m too excited.” She also referenced forgetting an iPad — which she later testified was used to record their lengthy sex sessions.
As the trial continues, these revealing messages are expected to play a pivotal role in the case, offering a raw glimpse into the tumultuous and allegedly toxic dynamic between the music mogul and his former muse.
