Jawahar and Kendriya Vidyalayas top CBSE results in Delhi

New Delhi: Govt-run Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas(KVs) have emerged as top-performing institutions in Delhi in this year's CBSE Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The JNVs recorded a 100% pass rate in Class 10. Across all types of schools, girls have outperformed boys in both the exams, continuing a consistent trend.In Class 12, govt schools fared impressively with an overall pass percentage of 96.9.Girls registered a higher success rate of 97.6% compared to 96% among boys. Independent or private schools, despite their resources and reputation, recorded a slightly lower overall pass rate of 92.8 — the pass percentage for girls was 95 and for the boys it was 91.2. Govt-aided schools, which cater to a relatively smaller cohort of students, showed a respectable pass percentage of 93.2. However, a noticeable gender gap was visible here too — while 95.4% girls passed, 91.1% of boys cleared the exam.Among centrally-run schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas continued their streak of excellence with a near-perfect pass rate of 99.1%. The performance was nearly equal across genders, with boys at 99.1% and girls at 99%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, though with a much smaller number of students, performed exceptionally well with a Class 12 pass percentage of 98. Boys had a slightly higher pass rate of 98.1%, while girls stood at 97.9%.In Class 10, JNVs stole the spotlight by achieving a perfect 100% pass rate — all 133 students, which is 75 boys and 58 girls — cleared the exam. Kendriya Vidyalayas closely followed with a 99.7% pass rate. The pass percentage for boys was 99.6 and for girls 99.7.Independent schools recorded an overall pass rate of 95.9% for Class 10. Girls continued to outperform boys, securing a pass rate of 97.4, compared to 94.9% among boys. Government schools also performed commendably, with an overall pass rate of 94.7% — 95.3 for girls and 94.1 for boys.However, government-aided schools lagged significantly in Class 10 results. They recorded an 83.6 pass percentage. While 87.6% girls passed, only 79.9% boys cleared the exam.
